PURCHASING.COM: U.S. ECONOMIC RECOVERY COULD START IN SECOND HALF

Economic activity should ramp up in the second half of 2009, according to the latest survey of members by the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). Still, the group finds “a meaningful recovery is not expected to take hold until next year.”

In a related report, Reuters suggests that the survey of 47 professional forecasters says the recovery, when it starts, will be driven by the Obama administration’s $787 billion economic stimulus plan.
